About this site

A small corner of the web run by one person, on a $5 server, in plain PHP.

This is a demo of TypeDock — a small, modern CMS built for people who want to run a personal website without a build step, a JavaScript framework, or a $30/month bill.

Who runs it

A long-time PHP developer who got tired of WordPress security alerts and wanted something boring, fast, and easy to host on cheap shared infrastructure.

How it is built

  • PHP 8.2 with FlightPHP and Latte templates.

  • SQLite by default, MySQL or PostgreSQL when you want them.

  • A Tiptap-based block editor that stores ProseMirror JSON, not HTML.

  • Themes are templates and CSS — no PHP logic, no database access.

A CMS should disappear behind the writing it carries.
